Cents vs CleanCloud for pickup & delivery: an operator's comparison
What Cents and CleanCloud actually include for pickup & delivery, which plan you need for your own drivers, the costs that sit outside the monthly price, and how to test both in a demo.
Owners ask me this almost every week: "Cents or CleanCloud?" I run a pickup & delivery laundry in Honolulu and I built my own software, so I'm not neutral. What I can do is lay out what each company publishes about pickup & delivery, where the real costs hide, and how to test both so you can decide yourself.
Everything below about Cents and CleanCloud comes from their own pricing pages, checked on October 11, 2026. Plans change, so confirm on their sites before you sign anything. Sources are listed at the end.
The short version
Both are established laundry platforms with point of sale, customer apps and pickup & delivery. The differences that matter for a delivery business are which plan you need before your own drivers get a driver app, how order volume is counted, and which costs live outside the monthly price.
| | Cents | CleanCloud | | --- | --- | --- | | Pickup & delivery with your own drivers | Ultimate tier | Pro and Grow plans | | Published monthly price for that tier | $399 (Wash, Dry & Fold) or $599 (All-in-One) | Not shown on the public page when checked | | Route optimization | Included in Ultimate | Pro; "advanced" route optimization on Grow | | Volume limits | Not stated per tier | 2,000 orders/month on Pro, 3,000 on Grow, 10,000 on Grow+ | | Costs outside the monthly price | Hardware and implementation | SMS credits, journey credits, branded app; onboarding plan |
Cents for pickup & delivery
Cents publishes three tracks: Wash, Dry & Fold; Self-Serve; and All-in-One for stores that do both. Each track has Starter, Growth and Ultimate tiers.
For a delivery business, the important line is this. Growth ($249/month on the Wash, Dry & Fold track) adds online ordering and delivery through a driver network, so you can offer delivery without your own drivers. Dispatching your own drivers, with a driver app, route optimization, geofenced delivery zones with area-based pricing, and memberships, is in Ultimate: $399/month on Wash, Dry & Fold, or $599/month on All-in-One.
Hardware and implementation are separate upfront costs that vary by package. If you already run a store with Cents at the counter, that's a real advantage: your staff already know it.
CleanCloud for pickup & delivery
CleanCloud's plans are Lite, Pro, Grow and Grow+, sized by orders per month: 500, 2,000, 3,000 and 10,000. Pickup & delivery, the driver app and route optimization appear on Pro and Grow. Grow adds advanced route optimization and automated invoicing, and Grow+ adds a branded customer app.
When I checked, the public plan page showed no dollar amounts, so you'll need a quote. Ask specifically about SMS credits and journey credits (both listed as extra), the branded app (which may need a minimum term) and the onboarding plan. If you go over your order limit regularly, CleanCloud says an account manager will contact you about upgrading.
What neither pricing page tells you
The monthly price is the easy number. On a delivery business the expensive things are elsewhere:
- Your time per route. How long does it take to build tomorrow's route, and to fix it when a customer moves their window?
- Money that slips. What happens to a bag that's delivered but not paid for? Is there one list that shows it, or do you find out at month end?
- The texts. Who answers "where's my laundry?" Is every customer message in one inbox, or split between the app, SMS and your personal phone?
- Route profit. Can you see what a route earned after washing, driver pay and gas, before and after you run it?
How to test both in one afternoon
Book a demo with each and bring the same order. My demo checklist walks through it step by step. The short version:
- A returning customer with a preference change. Does the change carry to the next order and to the driver?
- A pickup with an access note and a window. Assign it, open the driver app, and ask what happens when the customer isn't home.
- Weigh it. Change the estimate from 24 to 30 pounds and watch the invoice update. Is the card charged automatically?
- Deliver it unpaid. Where does that order show up the next morning?
- A commercial account. Ten pickups in a month, one statement, one pay link.
- Migration. Who moves your customers, prices and zones, and how long does it take?
Write down what each costs per month at your volume, including add-ons and texts, and how long each step took.
Where Tama OS fits
Tama OS is the system I built to run Tama Laundry, and it's built from the route outward: dispatch shows each route's profit before the van leaves, every route can be replayed planned vs. actual from the driver's GPS, all customer texts land in one inbox with an AI concierge for routine questions, and invoices use the real weighed pounds. See the dispatch features and commercial invoicing.
If your business is mostly a counter and machines, Cents or CleanCloud may fit better. If the route is the business, add Tama OS to your afternoon of demos. I do the migration myself for founding operators.

FAQ
Which Cents plan includes pickup and delivery with my own drivers?
On Cents' published pricing (checked October 11, 2026), in-house pickup and delivery dispatch with a driver app and route optimization is part of the Ultimate tier: $399/month on the Wash, Dry & Fold track, or $599/month on All-in-One. The Growth tier offers delivery through a driver network instead of your own drivers. Hardware and implementation are quoted separately.
Which CleanCloud plan includes pickup and delivery?
CleanCloud's plan page lists pickup & delivery, the driver app and route optimization on its Pro and Grow plans, with monthly order limits of 2,000 and 3,000. Lite (500 orders a month) does not include pickup & delivery. The public page did not show dollar amounts when we checked, so ask CleanCloud for a quote that includes SMS credits and any branded-app fees.
Is Cents or CleanCloud better for a laundry pickup and delivery business?
It depends on how your business makes money. If most revenue comes from a counter and machines, look hard at how each handles the store. If the route is the business, test dispatch, the driver app, proof of pickup, weighed-quantity invoicing and route costs with the same sample order on both.
